Альбом-каталог «130 шагов в будущее»

April 19, 2024 marks the 130th anniversary of the opening of the Grodekovsky Museum. Established at the Priamursky Department of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society, it became a place where a large number of items related to the active development of the Priamurian lands were received. Familiarization with the museum's collections helps to "read" the history of both the institution itself and the Russian Far East as a whole.

The museum is a living structure. Thousands of exhibits replenishing the museum's collections are evidence of the interest of Far East residents who strive to preserve the history of the region and their personal and family history.

Collections reflect not only museum treasures, they are witnesses of time, a basis for dialog with the visitor and a factor of influence on the urban community.

The album "130 Steps to the Future" is an experience of selective presentation of iconic museum objects. They are filled with many meanings, facts and connotations. These include a connection with the region, a reflection of the country's historical events, and the influence of personalities on the development and exploration of the Far East.

The 130 selected objects are a kind of "collection" of exclusive exhibits that create the basis of the museum, and by means of a chronologically set trajectory, we present an unbreakable connection time-museum-collection.
