Chinese Marathon "Grodekov. Legacy"
The Khabarovsk Museum was founded in 1894. It was the favorite brainchild of Nikolai Ivanovich Grodekov, the museum's patron. On his initiative and with his personal participation, the museum's collections were replenished. Thanks to him the foundations for the formation of all the main collections of the museum were laid. He donated money, collected ethnographic materials, paintings and books to the museum. In 1902, after Grodekov's departure from the Far East, the grateful people of Khabarovsk named the museum after their earthly patron - Grodekovsky.
September 22 marks 180 years since the birth of N.I. Grodekov. A two-day thematic marathon "Grodekov. Heritage". Within the marathon we will tell about the activities of Governor-General Grodekov, about the history of the museum and how the traditions laid down by its founder continue, reveal the secrets of the museum "behind the scenes" and details of the preparation of exhibition projects, record our impressions from traveling through the halls.
We have arranged the program so that you have the opportunity to attend different lectures, excursions and meetings. If you participate in any excursion (one or several), the cost of the entrance ticket will be 200 rubles. The cost of the excursion or master class is specified in the program.
