It's all about the fish!
The project of Association of Khabarovsk Krai museums and Grodekovo museum "It's all about the fish" became the winner of the 2nd grant competition of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and has received financial support of 5,1 million rubles.
The project "It's All About Fish" is a collaboration between museums and representatives of creative businesses. It united museums of Khabarovsk Krai and creative industries of the region to create qualitatively new products reflecting the regional identity. The image of the FISH in its broad understanding of the region's historicity and spiritual culture was chosen as the project's "business card".
In the course of the project implementation, a Laboratory of Museum Design was created on the basis of the Grodekovsky Museum, where the creative community was offered objects from the ethnographic collection of museums for study, inspiration and collaboration... The projects developed by the residents of the laboratory underwent expert and audience voting during the presentation of the results of their work in the format of a traveling exhibition. The best ideas of creative products were realized and presented at the exhibition-festival "I.C.R.A." (Ideas of Creative Development of Amur) together with original exhibits from museum collections, which served as prototypes for the ideas of the Lab participants.
The project became a startup for the beginning representatives of creative industries. It laid the foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation between cultural institutions and creative industries, development of regional identity, creative business and tourism in Khabarovsk Krai.
