The Great Patriotic War affected the entire Soviet Union. Despite the fact that on the territory of Khabarovsk Krai there were no military operations, its inhabitants fought at the fronts, every fifth Khabarovsk resident took part in the battles against Nazi Germany and militaristic Japan.

And in the rear the Far East residents helped the front with all their might - they worked at the factory, providing the army with military equipment and ammunition, in dire straits they farmed, collected parcels for the soldiers and those who were deprived of their homes by the war.
