Thematic tour "Fishes of the Amur"
The excursion takes place at the "Amur Museum" exhibition and is dedicated to the inhabitants of the rivers and lakes of the Amur basin. About 130 fish species live in the Amur River and its tributaries, some of them are endemics of the Far East. The exposition includes false and stuffed carp, skygazer, sturgeon, aukha, Amur pike, orcas, snake catcher, tench and three-meter high Kaluga, and the aquariums with live fish feature sturgeon, carp, silver carp, grass carp, catfish and other animals living in Amur depths. During the tour you'll also learn how the landscape and climate peculiarities of the Amur River basin influenced the composition of ichthyofauna.
The excursion is part of the program "Nature of the Khabarovsk region" for children of all ages, also suitable for a family audience that plans a cultural free time at the museum.
