Полевой сезон 2018 г. Памятник «Ручейки»

In the period from 24.07 to 09.08.2018, archaeologists of the museum together with a group of Japanese experts from Tokyo Capital University conducted archaeological excavations at the monument Rucheiki-1 (Jewish Autonomous Region).
An ancient dwelling of semi-dugout type was found. The main material belongs to the Paleometallic period - the early complex of the Urilian culture (1 millennium BC), as well as a previously unknown ceramic complex (first half of the 2 millennium BC).
Among the interesting finds are 10 clay beads and a small bowl, as well as a large number of animal bone remains, which are usually poorly preserved in the soils of the Amur region.
A series of coal samples were taken for AMS dating.
