Grodekovo museum worker participated in the Interregional local history conference "XIV Dorokhin Readings

From July 28 to July 30, Anna Shipovalova, head of the Laboratory of Archaeology and Paleogeography of Grodekovo Museum, took part in the Interregional Local Lore Conference "XIV Dorokhin Readings" with a report on the history of studying one of the interesting and undeservedly forgotten archaeological sites of the Eastern Priamurye - Kadochan settlement.

 The conference was dedicated to the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and was held in a picturesque place, in the village of Albazino. The participants visited the grave of the founder of the Albazino Museum of Local Lore, the historical rampart of the Albazino stockade, the memorial stone erected to the 155th anniversary of the Treaty of Aigun, and visited the excavations of the Albazino Archaeological Expedition.

 The conference discussed a wide range of issues related to the discovery, study, exploration and development of the Amur region. The participants joined master classes on watercolor sketches, a creative meeting with N.R. Levchenko, a member of the Amur Association of the Union of Writers of Russia, and watched the performance of the children's association "Cossacks".
