The Kamchatka Museum Assembly was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from February 27 to March 1
From February 27 to March 1 Kamchatka became the meeting place for representatives of the Russian museum community, where in the framework of the museum assembly they discussed the most topical questions of the modern life of museums.
Ivan Kryukov, General Director of the Grodekovo Museum, took part in the round table "The Modern Museum: What Is It?" with a report "The Grodekovo Museum as an Assembly Point of Culture of the Region," where he shared his thoughts on how a modern museum can become "modern," that is, a cultural institution capable of providing answers to any requests of visitors, both regular and potential. An agreement was also signed on cooperation between the Khabarovsk Krai and Kamchatka Krai museums. The agreement will serve the cause of mutual enrichment and expansion of museum spaces.
The organizers of the Kamchatka Museum Assembly were the Association of Museums of the Far East and the Russian Committee of the International Council of Museums with the support of the Presidential Administration in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Ministry of Culture of Kamchatka Krai.
