On April 28 at 17:00 there was a grand opening of the exhibition "Khabarovsk
and Khabarovsk residents: history in postcards". To the 165th anniversary of the city foundation. From the collections of Matyukhin and the Grodekovo Museum.

The printed postcard (postcard) (since 1909 - postcard) for centuries has served as a means of communication and communication, characterizing the time, the culture of everyday life, the traditions of the country and its society. 

The exhibition, dedicated to the celebration of the 165th anniversary of the founding of Khabarovsk, presents printed postcards with views of our city from the private collection of Y.A. Matyukhin and exhibits from the collection of the Grodekovo Museum. It introduces the history of the creation and development of postcards, publishers and authors-photographers.

At the exhibition you can see how for decades evolved and transformed Khabarovsk, changing the architectural appearance of the city, the construction of new buildings and entire neighborhoods. 

The popularity and importance of view-postcards, despite the emergence of new types of communication and electronic virtual postcards, has not lost its cognitive value and continues to contribute to human communication.

The exhibition will run until June 18, 2023.
