HCP 12700/5
Chinese folk red paper clippings "chuan hua" (window flowers) represent the traditional art of artistic paper clipping in China (and peoples of many countries around the world). The clippings have benevolent functions and are pasted on gate and gate doors and windows for various holidays. This collection of clippings symbolizes the 12 years that make up the cycle in the Chinese calendar. The collection was brought from Harbin by A. Shcherbakova, a student at the Far Eastern Legal Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
