Letter from World War II veteran Ivan Gordeevich Melnikov to his wife Larisa Danilovna Melnikova

Front letter of Ivan Gordeevich Melnikov (1912-1944), native Khabarovsk resident, lieutenant colonel, chief of engineers of tank brigade, participant of the Great Patriotic War, who died on June 25, 1944 in the battle for the town of Pruzhany, Brest region. From the collection of letters dated 1941-1944, addressed to his wife Melnikova Larisa Danilovna, son Edik, daughter Lyuba. Melnikova L.D. - Melnikova L.D., the widow of I.G. Melnikov, kept the front letters as a memory of her fallen husband in her family archive. After her death (1992) the letters were kept by her son - Eduard Ivanovich Melnikov (born in 1934), who gave the letters to the museum.
