January 26
30-45 min
Main Building
150 ₽

The class takes place in the interactive exhibition "Peasant Farmstead on the Amur" and is part of the "Slavic World" cycle.

Children will learn how immigrants from different provinces of the Russian Empire lived in the Amur Region and what traditions they brought to the Russian Far East. We will get acquainted with the structure of the hut, the main household outbuildings, the peculiarities of the household in our climate, and how responsibilities were distributed among family members. We will look in more detail at the everyday life of a housewife and examine household utensils.

All of the household items presented in the exhibition can be taken in your hands. For example, you can feel the weight of the pig-iron by pulling it out of the oven with a real grub.
