The National Open Championship of Creative Competences ArtMasters was launched in Russia

The 6th season of the ArtMasters National Open Championship of Creative Competences was launched in Russia. The theme of the new season is "Preserving Traditions, Creating the Future". The prize fund will amount to 36 million rubles.

The National Open Championship of Creative Competences ArtMasters is a large-scale competition for specialists in the creative industries. ArtMasters creates opportunities for young people for professional development and social elevator in the industry, promotes the integration of participants into the professional community and the development of professional skills.

Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the ArtMasters Organizing Committee Sergey Novikov: "Over the five years of the ArtMasters Championship, the number of competencies has doubled - from 16 to 30, and the number of participating countries has reached 112. Also, the number of applications for participation in the championship has quadrupled - from 10 thousand in 2020 to 40144 in 2024. This year our country celebrates 80 years since the victory in the Great Patriotic War. And the championship tasks ArtMasters will also be dedicated to the artist's contribution to the victory. We know such great examples as the work of Shostakovich, Simonov and Bondarchuk. On these examples in movies, in music, in literature, a whole generation is growing up, carrying the value of victory and passing this value on to their children."

The new season traditionally features two age categories: juniors (14-17 years old) and major (18-35 years old).

Juniors will compete in ten creative competencies: "3D Designer", "Web Designer", "Video Editor", "Videographer", "Videographer", "Film and Media Sound Engineer", "Clipmaker", "Popular Music Composer", "Scriptwriter", "Animation Artist", including the new competence "Producer".

"Undoubtedly, the achievements of adult participants are very important and prestigious, but for every child who participates in ArtMasters in the Junior category, it is much more important. It can be the first big success in life, which then shapes the whole life of a young person, his passions and desire to self-realize himself for the benefit of our Motherland. And it is important that from year to year the Junior Championship has more competencies", - noted First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation  Alexander Bugaev.

In the main age category, individual competitions will be held in 20 competences, including the new areas "Creative Producer", "Promt Engineer" and "Architectural Environment Designer". According to the traditional annual rotation, the competences "Computer Games Scriptwriter", "Designer of Virtual Worlds", "Costume Designer", "Set Designer" and "Make-up Artist" will return to the Championship.

"New competencies and professions naturally appear at the intersection of different sciences. The ArtMasters team reacts quickly to the changes and introduces new unique competencies into the championship. Such innovations are designed to interest the youth audience and attract new forces to participate. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education together with ArtMasters also plans to launch training programs in new areas at specialized universities and on educational platforms. If a profession is so new that there is already a practice, but there is no training program yet, we will create it and attract masters and experts for this purpose. This is important for the creative economy of our country", - said the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova.

The prize fund of the new season will amount to 36 million rubles. In the main age category, the winners in each competence will receive cash certificates worth 750 thousand rubles, 500 thousand rubles for second place and 250 thousand rubles for third place. In the age category "Juniors" - 300 thousand rubles for victory, 200 thousand rubles for second place and 100 thousand rubles for third place. The winners and runners-up of the championship will be able to spend the money certificates for educational purposes, realization of their own projects, purchase of professional equipment or an inspiring trip around the country.

"Throughout its existence, ArtMasters has gathered a unique pool of industry experts, mentors whose experience and role in the development of young talent is an invaluable contribution to the future. They pass on not only technical skills, but also the values, traditions and professional ethics of their fields. The finalists of the championship get the opportunity to intern at the best creative factories in Russia, and many of them receive invitations to work from ArtMasters partner companies"," shared the ArtMasters ecosystem manager Borislav Volodin.

In the new season, the ArtMasters expert council was joined as expert ambassadors by Fyodor Bondarchuk (competence "Creative Producer"), as well as Artemy Lebedev (competence "WEB-Designer (UX/UI)").

The Championship is held in three stages: qualifying, qualifying, final. The qualifying stage will be held from March 4 to May 16, 2025. Acceptance of applications will end on April 30, 2025.

In the "Juniors" age category, the qualification stage will take place from May 17 to June 9, and the final stage will take place from July 14 to August 2, 2025. On the last day of the final stage, an award ceremony will be held in Moscow at the Atom Museum at VDNKh. The final of the main age category (18-35 years old) will take place in Moscow in August, and the the award ceremony and the traditional gala concert will be held September 30 at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

In addition, the finalists of the Junior category will be invited to creative practice at the Artek International Children's Center.

ArtMasters Championship is included in the list of Olympiads and events aimed at the development of intellectual and creative abilities, which gives its winners and finalists the opportunity to get additional points for the Unified State Exam in such universities as the Russian Institute of Theatrical Art GITIS, All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov, Higher School of Economics, A.N. Kosygin Russian State University of Music named after A.N. Kosygin. S.A. Gerasimov All-Russian State University of Cinematography, Higher School of Economics, A.N. Kosygin Russian State University, Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Gnessin Institute of Cinema and Film. Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Institute of Cinema and Television (GITR) and many others.

Acceptance of applications for the VI season of the National Open Championship of Creative Competences ArtMasters will last until April 30, 2025.
