December 21

The exhibition "Restoring History. Khidirov Valerik Zurapovich - restorer, philanthropist, public figure" opened on December 21 in the permanent exposition "Development of Khabarovsk Krai in the XXI century" in the Grodekovsky Museum.

The exhibition presents items discovered during restoration work, many of which are from the 19th century. There are also tools from the mid-20th century, which were used by Valerik Zurapovich. A small part of what the restorer was awarded with is also reflected, but the main award is people's gratitude for his good deeds. This is also confirmed by the sign of the Russian Children's Fund nomination "Generous Heart".

Valerik Khidirov has lived in Khabarovsk since 1978. Since 2011, he has been the permanent representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in the Far Eastern Federal District. Valerik Zurapovich is a member of the Khabarovsk Krai Public Organization "Assembly of Peoples of Khabarovsk Krai", the Public Chamber of Khabarovsk Krai, the Public Chamber of Khabarovsk city, and actively participates in all events.

He is the organizer of the Memory Action, which is held annually in the region on the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism. He regularly meets with conscripts from the North Caucasus region in military units and conducts extensive educational work among them.

Valerik Khidirov together with public organizations of the region provides humanitarian aid to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of Donbass.

However, his main vocation is revival and restoration of old buildings of the city. At the expense of his personal funds, historical buildings at 60 Dzerzhinskogo St. and 72 Kalinina St. were restored, and the tenants of these buildings were resettled. There are plans to restore a number of other buildings in the center of Khabarovsk. Not without reason in 2013. V.Z. Khidirov was awarded a memorial sign "The best keeper of the history of the city of Khabarovsk".

The exhibition will run through March 2023.
