Grodekovo Museum held a lesson "Far Eastern Merchants at the Turn of the Century" for schoolchildren

Today the guests of the museum were a teacher of history and eighth-graders from the Khabarovsk school № 32. Asaturova Elena Yurievna held in the museum a lesson "Far Eastern merchants at the turn of the century" for the 8th grade within the project "The land of attraction", which is held by the Khabarovsk Regional Institute for Educational Development.

In the Merchant's Shop section of the exposition devoted to the development of the Amur Region in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, schoolchildren performed assignments on worksheets. During this time the museum workers in the guise of a merchant and a clerk of the shop briskly and eloquently told about the affairs of merchants in pre-revolutionary Khabarovsk. Educational event allowed each participant to feel the atmosphere of a bygone era.
Thanks to such classes students do not get dry factual information about the history of the Khabarovsk region, and use the knowledge in practice, performing tasks on an independent search for information through the museum objects, referring to the photo-documentary materials about the development of merchants in the Far East.

We believe that the educational space of the museum will not only improve the quality of learning, but will also perform an important social function, giving students the opportunity to visit cultural and scientific sites.
