Three winners selected by experts at the first Contest of Project Ideas for Museums of the Far East

On August 3, as part of the Made in the Far East Creative Industries Forum, the results of the contest of museum projects initiated by the Association of Museums of the Far East and Siberia and supported by the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East were summarized. The best museum projects were presented to a jury of leading federal experts chaired by Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.

The finalists were 36 museums from 10 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.

The finalists include Grodekovsky Museum staff - Anna Averina, head of the history research department, Anna Belykh, chief curator, and Yulia Kalinovskaya, head of the Amursky Utyos MCC, as well as members of the Association of Museums of Khabarovsk Krai.
Projects from Nerchinsk, Vladivostok and Yakutsk were recognized as winners of the Contest of Project Ideas for Museums of the Far East.

The projects of museums from the Nerchinsk Museum of Local Lore and the Museum of the National Scientific Center of Marine Biology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which took first and second place, will receive financial support in the amount of 100 thousand rubles to implement their ideas. The work of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which took third place in the expert rating, will be able to send the author of the project idea for a paid internship at the V.K. Arsenyev State United Museum-Reserve in Vladivostok.

The contest was initiated by the Charitable Foundation for the Development of Museums of the Far East and Siberia. The contest was supported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The organizer of the event was the Social Initiatives Development Fund, and the operator and expert partner was the Association of Cultural Managers. The partners of the contest were the Association of Museums of the Sakhalin Region and the Association of Museums of the Khabarovsk Territory.
