Start of applications for the fifth forum "Strong Ideas for New Times"

Applications for the forum "Strong Ideas for New Times" are now open. You can submit your ideas for positive changes in the country on the platform idea.roscongress.rf until May 15, 2025, and experts will select the top 100 ideas. The strongest ideas will be presented to the country's leadership in July 2025 at the final event in Nizhny Novgorod.

"The Forum is a unique platform for finding non-standard solutions to the challenges facing our country. We see how many thinking, enterprising and caring people there are in Russia who are ready to take an active part
in shaping the future. Direct dialog between society, experts, government and business, which we are building at the Forum, is an effective mechanism for solving national tasks. In order to implement ambitious development plans and successfully respond to external challenges, it is important to unite the efforts of all levels of government and every citizen," said Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Forum's Organizing Committee.

In 2025, ideas and proposals are accepted in five areas relevant to the Agency's national initiatives and meeting the national development goals of the Russian Federation until 2030:

1. National Social Initiative. The selection will take place
on two key topics: social initiatives and urban development. Both are aimed at improving people's quality of life, but address different challenges.

2. National Entrepreneurial Initiative. Ideas are accepted on two key topics: new business and creative economy. They are aimed at developing innovations, supporting entrepreneurship and creating conditions for economic growth.

3. the National Technology Initiative (NTI). Ideas in two key areas are important here: civil-military technologies and the NTI Platform. The projects should strengthen the country, ensure its security and make the future better for everyone.

4. National Personnel Initiative (NPI) - focusing on ideas and projects that will help to unlock the potential of each individual and provide the economy with the necessary personnel.

5. National Environmental and Climate Initiative (NECI). Ideas and projects in this area are designed to preserve nature, adapt the country to climate change and create conditions for sustainable development.

Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency, noted that interest in the Forum has doubled over the years: in 2024, the number of ideas increased by 208 % compared to 2020. "Over the years, we have received almost 90 thousand ideas from all regions of Russia and 35 foreign countries. This year we are waiting for projects aimed at improving the quality of life, supporting entrepreneurship, developing human resources, creative industries, technology, environmental well-being. Each idea will receive expert evaluation, and the best ones will be able to become part of large-scale transformations for sustainable economy, quality and comfortable life of our citizens", - emphasized Svetlana Chupsheva.

"Our ambition in the new strategic cycle is to make the most efficient use of VEB.RF Group's capital in order to implement as many projects as possible to achieve national development goals. Therefore, we expect new ideas and initiatives from the Forum participants. Your creative energy contributes to positive transformations in the country and improving the quality of life of people," said Igor Shuvalov, Chairman of VEB.RF and Chairman of the Agency's Expert Council.

"The Forum creates conditions for the development of the domestic consumption market characterized by high demand for domestic products. We learned about many promising proposals of our citizens with the help of the crowdsourcing platform of the Roscongress Foundation, on which more than 530 thousand users have been registered for all the years of the event. This shows the high demand for this format of interaction. The selection and further realization of proposals is being improved: this year we have seen a complete renewal of the composition of experts, as well as the selection criteria and directions. The principle of work remains unchanged: everyone has the opportunity to propose their idea through the crowdfunding platform, to finalize it together with experts
and mentors and achieve new results," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee.

The organizers are the autonomous non-profit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects and the Roscongress Foundation.

Any resident of Russia can submit an application. To do this, all you need to do is register on the platform and choose the right nomination. Then follow the project's progress, receive help and feedback on finalization from experts. The work on expert evaluation of ideas starts from the moment the first proposal is received. The final point will be an in-person two-day Forum, which is scheduled for the summer and will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. It is planned to present 100 best ideas and projects at the Forum, and to demonstrate 10 of them to the country's leadership during the plenary session.

The first Strong Ideas for New Times forum was held in 2020.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 899 of December 8, 2022, the Forum became an annual event. For four years, it has brought together more than 530 thousand residents. In the first year it managed to collect 14,768 initiatives and projects, in 2022 leaders proposed 19,512 ideas for the development of the country, in 2023 - 23,563, in 2024 - 30,726. Every year, about 1,000 ideas receive various support tools
from the Forum organizers, partners and regional authorities.
