Workshop "The Role of the Museum in the Education of Schoolchildren" for teacher-heads of museums of general education institutions of Khabarovsk Municipal District

On March 25, 2025, the Grodekovsky Museum hosted a workshop "The Role of the Museum in the Education of Schoolchildren" for teacher-heads of museums of general educational institutions of Khabarovsk municipal district. The scientific and methodological work sector prepared a number of activities aimed at familiarizing teachers with the main directions of museum activities.

Svetlana Timofeevna Zyl, leading methodologist of the Khabarovsk Krai Museum, spoke about the culture of historical memory, the role of museums in its preservation and transmission to the younger generation. Galina Teodorovna Titoreva, head of the research sector of ethnography and Irina Borisovna Ivanova, chief researcher of the research department of nature were devoted to the problems of exposition and creation of exposition and exhibition spaces of the ethnographic and natural science sections of the museum. In conclusion, the guide of the "Children's Museum" Elena Sergeevna Ermizova, revealed the peculiarities of teaching the theme of the Great Patriotic War on the local history material.

In general, the participants of the workshop learned about the role of museums in the process of education, and also expressed their hope for further cooperation with the museum within the framework of educational and outreach programs of the Grodekovsky Museum.
