The project "About! Far East Expedition" is completed!

December 14

In December, field events were held, which became the final stage of the project "O!kamenelosti. Far Eastern Expedition". For the participants of the profile mountain shift of the regional children's center "Sozvezdiye" the program was organized directly in the expositions of the museum in Khabarovsk, and for schoolchildren from the city of Vyazemsky - in an off-site format in the Vyazemsky local history museum named after N.V. Usenko. N.V. Usenko.

Let us remind you that the project of the Grodekovsky Museum and the Association of Museums of Khabarovsk Krai won the competition of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives in 2021. Thanks to the grant funding in 2022, the project was presented in Nikolaevsky, Okhotsk, Ayano-Maysky, Sovetsko-Gavansky and Vaninsky districts of the Krai. Schoolchildren as well as families with children took part in the program. We received a lot of positive feedback, especially the children often mentioned the opportunity to examine real geological and paleontological specimens outside the showcases, examine them under a microscope, and hold them in their hands.

The positive feedback from the participants and the successful experience of partnership with district museums caused a significant response and formed a new request from other districts. The project was included in the Museum Tours program, and in 2023 its geography was expanded to Bikinsky, Vyazemsky, Nanaysky and Verkhne-Bureinsky districts. This was made possible thanks to a subsidy from the Khabarovsk Krai Government, as well as financial support from our partners - SUEK JSC (Urgalugol OJSC) and AR Russian Copper Company (Amur Minerals LLC).

For two years, participants of the educational program "O!kamenelosti. Far Eastern Expedition" have become almost 2,900 people. Next year, other programs will be presented as part of the Museum Tour.
