The "Faces of Victory" project

Starting in 2019, the Victory Museum will realize a large-scale historical project "Faces of Victory" (Faces ofPobedy.рf), aimed at preserving the memory of every person who contributed to the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The "Faces of Victory" project is the largest and unique initiative dedicated to preserving and passing on to future generations invaluable evidence of the Great Patriotic War.
The project website contains stories not only about soldiers and officers, but also about nurses, engineers, workers and children of the war. Each story is a testament to the feat and selflessness of our people, thanks to whose efforts the Great Victory was achieved.
Within the framework of the project "Faces of Victory" it is planned to store information about more than 150 million people's fates. A unique "people's exposition" has been created in the Victory Museum, where project participants can find information about their relatives who lived during the war.
There are several ways to join the project and contribute materials from the family archive to the history project:
- Through the website. To do this, you need to register on the website faces ofpobeda.rf and fill in all the required fields. After registration, a letter with a login and password to enter the personal cabinet, where you can add the stories of your relatives, will be sent to the specified e-mail address.
- In person at the Victory Museum. Materials can be donated to the Nationwide Historical Project "Faces of Victory" when visiting the Victory Museum at 3 Victory Square, Moscow. The information desk of the project is located on the ground floor of the Main Building of the Museum.
- Through "My Documents" State Service Centers. You can hand over your loved one's family history and photo in person at the nearest My Documents public service center.
The project also invites participation from organizations that can involve their employees in the transfer of family archives. For organizations, Faces of Victory offers special collections for collective participation.
To date, more than 1.2 million stories have already been submitted to the project's database, which can be accessed on the website faces ofpobeda.rf or in the multimedia hall of the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill, where video walls of more than 120 square meters and 10 search stands are located.
