Continuing to expand and strengthen ties of intermuseum cooperation

On March 27 to April 1, Ivan Kryukov was on a business trip to Moscow, during which he met with the directors of federal museums. As a result of the meetings, the prospects for joint exhibition plan projects for 2024 were determined, and the implementation of the 2023 projects was discussed.


Ivan Kryukov, together with Alexei Levykin, director of the State Historical Museum, discussed the opening of the exhibition "Albrecht Dürer and His Age" at the Grodekov Museum in 2023. German engravings from the end of the XV century to the first half of the XVI century" from the collection of the Historical Museum. Other exhibition projects were also a topic of conversation: "Precious Orders in the collection of the Historical Museum" and "Catherine II: the path to the throne." They are planned to be opened next year.


A meeting was also held with Elizaveta Likhacheva, general director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. At the meeting they discussed the joint exhibition project "Archaeology. East-West".


During the trip, Ivan Kryukov met with the new director of the Shchusev Museum of Architecture, Natalia Shashkova, who took over as director in March 2023. They discussed the issues of bringing the exhibitions "Subway - an underground monument of architecture" and "Italian Palace of Soviets" in 2024, as well as issues related to the exhibition of competitive works of students of the Taganka State University (the image of the model library) and the joint exhibition project "Constructivism".
