Presentation of the catalog of V.K. Arsenyev's photo-documentary collection from the Grodekovo museum collections

Concluding the events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Vladimir K. Arsenyev, N. I. Grodekov Art Museum presented a catalog, which includes documents and photo materials related to the researcher of the Far East, scientist, writer, director of the Khabarovsk Museum, V. K. Arsenyev. These materials are kept in the collection of the Grodekov Museum. This is the first part of a series of editions, which tells about the life and work of Vladimir Klavdievich. The catalog includes 1,521 items and gives a description of them.

The catalog introduces specialists and all those interested in the history of development of the Far East, with photocopies of authentic documents and photo materials, telling about different spheres of activity and correspondence of V. K. Arseniev. K. Arsenyev, revealing to readers the multifaceted personality, versatility of professional interests, which became the life credo of the researcher.

Thanks to the collections preserved in the museum we can distinguish the main stages and directions of V. K. Arsenyev's researches. K. Arseniev, periods of his activity as director of Khabarovsk museum, correspondence with scientists and leading scientific institutions of that time, expedition and post-expedition materials. These documents reflect crucial epochs in which the explorer of the Far East Vladimir K. Arseniev lived.

Much of the material is being published for the first time.
