The team of the project "About! Far East Expedition" went to Chegdomyn

To go down into the mine and conduct an educational program for the school children of the township.

For three days, the traveling laboratory exhibition "Digging Up!" was open to children and adults. It familiarized visitors of the Chegdomynsky Museum of Local Lore with the discoveries of Far Eastern scientists in the field of geology and paleontology of the Amur Region and Western Priokhoty.

In addition to excursions around the exhibition, the museum workers held a program "Get involved!". It included working with samples of minerals and paleontological finds, filling out a field diary, sketching fossils, working with a microscope, and experiments.

All participants went on a real mini-expedition!

Then the team of the project "Oh!stonemasonry" set off on their journey. A journey deep into the earth. 

During this special trip, colleagues took advantage of a unique opportunity to get a closer look at some aspects of miners' work, their outfit and equipment. This happened thanks to SUEK JSC (Urgalugol OJSC). They responded to the request of the Grodekovo Museum and organized a visit to a coal mine and a coal mine.

Having undergone thorough preparation, a detailed briefing, and training with rescue equipment, the colleagues, together with partners from the Chegdomynsky Museum, descended into the mine accompanied by experienced specialists. It became not just an invaluable experience, but a source of knowledge and inspiration for new projects.
