The Grodekovsky Museum sent to the Amur Regional Museum of Local Lore named after G.S. Novikov-Daursky caricatures of 12 Japanese war criminals created from life by Khabarovsk journalist Vadim Pavchinsky during the Khabarovsk trial in 1949. G.S. Now they can be seen at the exhibition "The Last Volleys of the Great War". The Pobeda Museum and Memorial Complex (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) and the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore also provided their materials.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union K.K. Rokossovsky, veterans' organizations, and young soldiers. I.V. Kryukov, General Director of the Khabarovsk Krai Museum named after N.I. Grodekov, and A.Y. Alin, Director of the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore addressed the audience with a video greeting.

The exhibition was a worthy continuation of the exposition of the regional museum "The End of World War II in the Far East" dedicated to the Manchurian offensive operation. The tablets show the South Sakhalin offensive and Kuril landing operations. A separate complex is devoted to the Khabarovsk trial of war criminals, which took place in Khabarovsk from December 25 to 30, 1949.

The exposition was supplemented with unique items from the Museum of History and Military Glory of DVOKU and artillery half-caponier: 

  • The ceremonial uniform of a Japanese officer from 1941-1945; 
  • Japanese trophies captured by Soviet troops (field officer's clipboard, flask, binoculars, etc.).

The exposition will be of interest to anyone interested in the military history of Russia.
