Ivan Kryukov visited Moscow and St. Petersburg as part of his business trip

In the two Russian capitals, the Director General discussed issues of cooperation with colleagues from federal museums

On the first day of his business trip on November 14, Ivan Kryukov met with Elena Gagarina, General Director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums. During the meeting they discussed the issues of the exhibition, the opening of which is scheduled for 2024.

The exhibition entitled "Gold. Power and Luxury. From the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums" will be dedicated to the precious metal - gold, as Khabarovsk Krai is one of the leading gold-mining regions of Russia. The Moscow Kremlin Museums have specially developed a concept that will be of interest to the residents of our city.

In total, the project will present about 200 gold items and a treasure trove of 552 coins, most of which are not displayed at the permanent exhibitions of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

On November 15, Ivan Kryukov took part in the General Meeting of the Union of Museums of Russia at the State Hermitage Museum. About 400 museums from 76 subjects of the Russian Federation joined the meeting.

On the same day, the Director General of the Grodekovsky Museum visited the exhibition "Museum Routes of Russia" and met with the heads of Russian museums.

Nikita Anikin, Deputy Director General for Development and External Communications, and Irina Velikanova, Director of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, discussed exhibitions in 2024, anniversaries of museums, as well as the acquisition of the theme of the SWO.

Eldar Yanibekov, Deputy Director General for Exposition and Exhibition Activities of the State Historical Museum, discussed issues of cooperation for 2025/2026.

From November 15 to 18, the CEO joined the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.

On November 16-17, the Victory Museum will hold an international strategic session of historical and military history museums. More than 150 representatives of museums - members of the Association of Historical and Military History Museums, participants of the International Project "Territory of Victory" - will gather here. The speakers will be historians, publicists, prominent public and political figures.

The main topic on November 16 is "Museums and traditional values. How to meet the challenges of modernity?", and on November 17 the participants will consider the issue of forming the image of the museum of the future and the public image of the head of the cultural platform.

Session participants will also be treated to a presentation on grant opportunities for museums and a leadership development workshop.

On November 17, Ivan Kryukov will attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Who Are You, Arsenyev?" at the Museum of Bridges (a branch of the Central Museum of Railway Transport of the Russian Federation). The interregional exhibition project presents unique exhibits of the N.I. Grodekov Khabarovsk Territory Museum and the Russian Ethnographic Museum on the site of the Museum of Bridges in St. Petersburg. The exhibition is dedicated to the outstanding traveler, explorer of the Far East, military man, scientist, writer Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev (1872-1930).

Visitors will see materials from the photo-documentary, archaeological, ethnographic and natural science collections of the Grodekovsky and Russian Ethnographic Museums. This comprehensiveness is intended to give an idea of the scale of the work and the very personality of a researcher in an era of change. A number of unique memorial items will be presented in St. Petersburg for the first time.

The opening will be complemented by a curatorial tour by Marina Belkina, Head of the Research Department of Cultural and Literary Studies of the Grodekovo Museum. 

The exhibition will be open from November 17, 2023 to February 17, 2024 at the address: St. Petersburg, Muchnoi Pereulok, 2, Museum of Bridges.
