Announcement of the lecture "Historians about Historians"

On November 13, 2023, an open lecture "Historians about Historians" will be held in the conference hall. It is a joint project of the Grodekovsky Museum and the Khabarovsk Krai branch of the Russian Historical Society. This series of lectures is devoted to biographies of outstanding representatives of historical science of Khabarovsk Krai in XX-XXI centuries. The lecture on the scientific school of A.L. Narochnitsky in Khabarovsk will be delivered by Marina Ibrahimovna Romanova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Pedagogy and History of TOGU.

In the lecture Marina Ibragimovna will tell about the follower of academician Alexei Leontyevich Narochnitsky in Khabarovsk, doctor of historical sciences, professor of the Far Eastern State University for the Humanities - Mikhail Ivanovich Svetachev. 

M.I. Svetachev has been training history teachers, professors and researchers for more than 50 years. He was Dean of the Faculty of History, Vice-Rector for Research at the Institute, and since 1991 he was repeatedly elected Head of the Department of General History. The sphere of Mikhail Ivanovich's scientific interests was the relations of the West and the East with Russia in the XVII - XX centuries, in particular, during the Civil War and intervention. His most important work on this topic is the monograph "Imperialist Intervention in Siberia and the Far East".
