Exhibition "For Labor for the Good of the Fatherland. Awards of Russia" from the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums

From September 2, 2025 in the Khabarovsk Krai Museum named after N.I. Grodekov. N.I. Grodekov Museum will launch a unique exhibition "For Labor for the benefit of the Fatherland. Awards of Russia". The exposition is timed to two significant anniversaries of 2025 - the 300th anniversary of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). 

The exhibition will present more than 170 items from the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, including orders, medals, award weapons, and precious gifts for military valor and civilian services. The exposition will reveal the history of Russia's award system from the era of Peter the Great to the present day, emphasizing the continuity of traditions and their connection with key events in Russian history. 

The main sections of the exhibition are:

Awards of the Russian Empire:

  • Orders of St. Andrew, St. Alexander Nevsky, St. George, St. Vladimir and others;
  • unique exhibits: award weapons of Ataman M.I. Platov, gift items to clerics, miniature portraits of emperors. 

Awards of the USSR:

  • Orders and medals of the Great Patriotic War.

Modern awards of the Russian Federation:

  • revived orders, such as the Military Order of St. George, and new insignia that keep in touch with historical traditions. 

Special Emphases:

For the first time in Khabarovsk, a whole set of items relating to the Great Patriotic War period will be shown.

  • Order of Victory, the highest award of the USSR and one of the most famous and rare awards in the world. This is Order No. 9 of 1944, which belonged to Marshal K.K. Rokossovsky. The award was made after the liberation of Poland according to the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on March 30, 1945 with the wording "for skillful performance of the tasks of the Supreme High Command to lead combat operations on a large scale, as a result of which achieved outstanding success in the defeat of the Nazi troops"
  • Order block with the Order of Lenin No. 6235, the Order of the Red Banner No. 3, the Order of the Red Banner with the number "2" No. 30 and the medal "XX years of the Red Army", which belonged to Stalin.
  • Military orders - the Orders of Suvorov, Ushakov, Kutuzov, Nakhimov, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, the Order of Glory, 2nd and 3rd class, as well as the medals "For Victory over Japan" and the medal "For Valorous Labor in the Great Patriotic War"
