The exhibition "Tick. Caught red-handed"

1937. Mikhail Chumakov, an aspiring virologist, came to the logging village of Obor, the focus of an unknown disease affecting the brain. When the solution of the taiga disease was already close, Mikhail himself became its victim. To save their comrade, the expedition decides to take a risky step.
This exhibition is for those who want to know who scientists are, what they do, and how science develops.
At the exhibition, visitors will get acquainted with the stories of people who, sparing no effort, time and themselves, moved science forward. You will be surprised how insidious diseases and their causative agents can be, and how sometimes an effective treatment method is unexpectedly found.
The exhibition presents items and materials that tell about scientific expeditions that initiated the study of tick-borne encephalitis virus, and items donated by the Khabarovsk Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of Rospotrebnadzor will tell about the laboratory work of virologists.
The exhibition will run through August 2024.
