"In Search of the Garden of Heaven. The Symbol of the Flower in the History of Decorative Art".
On April 29, the Grodekovo Museum opened the exhibition "In Search of the Heavenly Garden. Flower Symbol in the History of Decorative Art", which presents the best examples of traditional art from the collection of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Art, made by masters of the most famous centers of national art culture in Russia. The exhibition is a "big bouquet", the components of which are skillfully made objects associated with the motif of a flower.
All in all, the exhibition features about two hundred works of art from the museum funds of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts of the 19th-20th centuries, magnificent works by masters of Russian traditional art and crafts: the famous "blue flowers of Gzhel" - works by the most famous Gzhel masters, made of porcelain with blue cobalt painting, products of three oldest centers of artistic metal processing: Rostov finift (Yaroslavl region), Kazakovsky (Nizhny Novgorod region) and Krasnoselsky (Kostroma region) crafts, enamel floral miniatures look spectacular on "classical" boxes and on objects in the "ancient Russian" style.
Flowers are "eternal subjects", enjoyed love throughout the existence of decorative art. They are the oldest symbol of joy and merriment, of absolute order. Floral motifs are everywhere, from home decor to spinning wheels, holiday tableware and chalkboards, scarves, rugs, toys, etc.
The exhibition project is aimed at promoting civil unity, civic consciousness, ethno-cultural development of visitors.
