"Silver on Glass"

April 27, 2022 in the exhibition hall of the Museum of Archeology opened the photo exhibition "Silver on Glass", which presents about 70 works of professional photographer Vadim Kurik.

Vadim Kurik is the only ambrotypist in Khabarovsk Krai. He has been engaged in photography most of his life and has been a member of the Khabarovsk Photographic Society for many years. His photos can be seen in Russian and foreign photo exhibitions.

The exhibition focuses on portraits, landscapes and still-lifes by Vadim Kurik, made in ambrotypia technique. Ambrotypia is Greek for "immortal print. The image in this technique is fixed on a glass plate with silver sputtering.
