Our spades are the same brushes, or the Russians don't give up!

February 13 will see the grand opening of the exhibition of posters from the First World War "Our Spades are the Same Brushes, or Russians Don't Surrender" from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The project is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives within the framework of the 110th anniversary of the Russian Empire's entry into the First World War.
The exhibition "Our Spades are the Same Brushes, or Russians Don't Surrender!" - is 22 original works of poster art of the early twentieth century restored in the All-Russian Art Research and Restoration Center named after Academician I.E. Grabar.
At the exhibition you will learn what a military poster is, you will see authentic works of propaganda art. You will see battle scenes, the theater of war unfolds in colors and clear images. We will tell you how the posters of the First World War became a connecting thread that helped our people and the front to survive, and in difficult years inspired the Russian people to exploits in the name of Russia.
A special atmosphere of historical authenticity and "presence effect" is created at the exhibition thanks to the augmented reality (AR) from the project partners of the Hero4Hero group. This innovative solution will allow you not just to look at the restored posters, but to relive the historical events with your own interactive experience. With AR you will be able to see additional elements, animation, volume and depth of the stories.
Also our exhibition project offers to watch an animated 2-D movie about the key battles of the first months of the war with the participation of the Russian army. The cartoon was created by the project's partner - the animation studio "Mechtalyot". The exhibition project "Our brushes are the same spades, or Russians do not surrender!" invites you to feel the significance of the events of the First World War, which left a trace in the fates of millions of people
