"Dialogue with Silence" on Utesa

"Dialogue with Silence" on Utyos - A conceptual photo exhibition opens in Khabarovsk's historic site.
On July 5, the photo exhibition "Dialogue with Silence" opens in the building of Amursky Utes. The author, Anton Shevchenko, a member of the Russian Union of Photographers, presented almost three dozen photos, most of which are black and white.
- This color solution is a way to convey silence in a visual format. I wanted to make silence the "main character" of my works: the more minimalistic the palette, the more attention the viewer pays to his emotions from contemplation and dialog with himself, - Anton Shevchenko notes.
People are the main protagonists in only a few pictures. In most of the works they are either out of focus or in the shadows. The author emphasizes familiar everyday objects: buildings, stairs, street lamps - but in unusual angles and roles. Even the cutlery in Dialogue with Silence acquires destinies and personalities.
The place for the exhibition is also symbolic - Amursky Utes, which has been transformed many times over the decades of its existence, but still remains one of the main symbols of Khabarovsk.
You can visit the exhibition "Dialogue with Silence" from July 5 to July 31, 2025. Entrance is free.
