Religious Art of the Epoch of Peter the Great\" will open to the public in Khabarovsk Krai Museum named after N.I. Grodekov on July 8, 2023. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will present Russian church art from the 1680s to 1720s from the collection of the Andrei Rublev Museum. Among the exhibits are dated images signed by artists, such as the 1705 icon \"Hierarch John the Graceful, the Patriarch of Alexandria\" by Kirill Ivanov Ulanov, an outstanding tsarist iconographer of the Armory Chamber. The exhibition will show innovative for its time icons created in the technique of oil painting with an orientation towards European art by the artist Karp Zolotarev and the masters of his circle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to regional church painting of the Petrine epoch. In a number of icon-painting centers of Russia at the end of the XVII century - the first half of the XVIII century many artists consciously adhered to the traditions established over the centuries; the perception of new metropolitan trends occurred here very selectively and often with a significant delay. The exposition will also include fragments of the wall-painted iconostasis of the Church of the Annunciation in Yurievets Povolsky, which was made by leading Yaroslavl artists in the first third of the XVIII century.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition of icons and monumental paintings from the time of Peter the Great will undoubtedly be of great interest to residents of Siberia and the Far East. It will introduce viewers to an important page of Russian artistic culture, without which it is impossible to fully imagine the history of this turbulent time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition project is implemented at the expense of the federal project \"Creative People\" of the national project \"Culture\".&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The curators of the exhibition are Chief Curator of the Andrei Rublev Museum O.V. Smirnova and Head of the Easel and Monumental Painting Department Y.V.
