Lyudmila Ivanovna Milanich is a well-known Far Eastern poet, journalist, editor, Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR, member of the USSR Writers' Union. Author of poetic translations from Chukchi, Nanai and Mongolian languages.
She has made an invaluable contribution to the literature of the Far East. The works of the poetess are an integral part of the Far Eastern direction of Russian poetry, imbued with its history, spirit, character and time. Literary critics noted in Milanich's works philosophical message, high spirituality, organicity and bright individuality.
Ludmila Ivanovna Milanich was born and lived almost all her life in her beloved Khabarovsk. She graduated from secondary school No. 35 and the Philology Department of the Khabarovsk Pedagogical Institute. She worked in the editorial office of newspapers, in the Khabarovsk regional scientific library, on Khabarovsk radio and television, in the editorial office of the magazine "Far East". The poetess has numerous publications and individual poetry collections.
Lyudmila Ivanovna for many years closely cooperated with the Grodekovsky Museum, took a lively part in the organization of the Literary Museum, in holding many literary and artistic creative events.
The Khabarovsk Krai Museum named after Grodekov is the keeper of the collection of items related to the life and work of the poetess. The exhibition presents stock museum materials donated in different years by Ludmila Ivanovna herself and her relatives.
