The call for entries for the Local Historians Working with Young People Contest 2023 has started

The contest aims to support the best practices of teaching and popularizing the history of the small motherland among children and youth and is being held for the fifth year in a row.

The competition is invited to participate:

• Teachers of schools and teachers of supplementary education (including children's art houses, music schools, art schools);
• employees of cultural institutions;
• representatives of the nonprofit sector;
• Public figures with achievements in the field of patriotic education and historical education of children and youth.

Thematic areas of the Contest this year:

• "History and Ethnology of a Native Land."
• "Cultural Identity and Heritage of the Peoples of the Small Motherland;
• "Monuments of the history and culture of my region."
• "My Land is a Land of Labor Valor and Glory."
• "Tourist trails of the native land.
• "Famous countrymen - figures of science, culture, art";
• "The Archaeological Heritage of Our Homeland.

The contest is international and is held for citizens of the Russian Federation, compatriots living abroad and foreign citizens who study Russian language, Russian history and culture.

According to the results of the competitive selection of participants from each federal district and participants from the DNR, LNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are determined by 3 finalists, between whom the prize fund established by the organizers is distributed.
