The Literary Residences project is holding a competitive selection process

ASPIR, EXMO Publishing House and Abrikobooks are invited to the Literary Residency. Participants can send their works devoted to the culture, traditions and folklore heritage of the peoples of our country, as well as works in the genres of "fiction", "fantasy" and "dystopia". Applications will be accepted until June 30. Read the details below.

ASPIR and publishing house "Eksmo" invite writers to the Literary Residence at Dombai.

From August 03 to 23 in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia will be held a residency for novelists, dedicated to the culture, traditions and folklore heritage of the peoples of our country.
Previously unpublished novels and novellas (16+) of 8 to 15 pages in the genres of "realism", "magical realism" are accepted for consideration. Elements of science fiction, fantasy and mysticism are acceptable.

Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2024.

The winners will be determined by an expert committee consisting of representatives of ASPIR and editors of Eksmo publishing house. The readiness of the work for publication must be at least 50%, and the rights to the text must belong to the author in full. In case of 100% readiness the work is provided in full.

The Volga Residency will host authors of children's and young adult prose.

The Association of Unions of Writers and Publishers of Russia together with the publishing house "Abrikobux" opens the reception of applications for participation in the Literary Residency, which will be held from August 03 to 23 in Samara (hotel "Moya Glinka").

Collections of short stories, novellas, and novels for readers ages 12 to 16 in the fiction, fantasy, and dystopia genres are eligible for consideration.

Contestants should submit a detailed synopsis and an excerpt of a work from 2 to 6 a.l. (up to 250 thousand characters). An expert committee, including representatives of ASPIR and the best editors of Abrikobooks publishing house, will work with all applications. The readiness of the work for publication must be at least 70%, and the rights to the text must belong to the author in full. In case of 100% readiness the work is provided in full.
