Book Beacons of Russia Festival in Khabarovsk

The end of summer is the most "reading" time of the year, because on vacation we have time to get acquainted with literary novelties and timeless classics.
From August 1 to August 20, Russia will have a real intellectual feast: a large-scale program for the development of reading and book culture "Reading August" will be launched as part of the festival "Book Beacons of Russia". The book expedition will travel from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. Its participants are famous writers who give us books for every taste: detectives, fiction, non-fiction, children's literature, intellectual prose.
On August 17, residents and guests of Khabarovsk will enjoy a bright spectrum of cultural and educational events. Authors - participants of the book expedition, regional authors and book workers will meet with their readers, answer questions about their work, literature and more.
The festival will be opened by a plenary session, which will be held from 17:00 to 18:00 in the House of official receptions of the Government of Khabarovsk Krai, at 3, Shevchenko St., conference hall. At the end of the plenary session six literary-artistic and intellectual platforms for readers of all interests and ages will start working.
The Grodekovo Museum will host a historical session, the speakers of which will be historian, editor Alexander Myasnikov and futurologist, critic Sergey Pereslegin. The event will take place at 18.10-19.30, the venue is the museum's conference hall (11 Shevchenko St.).
