A museum is a magical place where the past can come to life.

MCC Amursky Utes and Khabarovsk Krai Museum named after N.I. Grodekov. N.I. Grodekov, keeping abreast of all new trends in culture, offers a unique art project "Silent Friday", the main idea of which is to recreate the atmosphere of the first cinemas of Khabarovsk.

The art project "Silent Friday" is already 6 years old. On Fridays, guests come to the cozy hall to watch black-and-white silent films accompanied by an antique grand piano, one of the museum's exhibits (the instrument is 143 years old).

The movie is accompanied by a tap dancer, just as it was 100 years ago. This profession requires a virtuoso ability to improvise.

The topper of "Silent Friday" is Irina Batrachenko. She conveys with her performance not only the general idea of the movie, but also emphasizes the nuances, details, becomes the "language" of movie actors.

Tea and cookies add warmth and coziness to the atmosphere of the evening - guests are treated to them at intermission.

On New Year's Eve, we'll be showing comedy movies set in winter.

You'll see Stan Laurel's "Snowhawk," in the famous duet with Oliver Hardy, "Big Business," and, as a bonus, the Buster Keaton movie "Frosty North."
